The lore of Native American cultures permeates many aspects of our modern American society. Throughout my life, I have had the honor to travel to tribal lands across the prairie states with my father and his friends to hunt with iconic lineages of Native chiefs and warriors.

But now, I believe I should share those experiences. As such, I will be putting together a few articles about the Tribal lands we visit.

Each of the articles will focus on the following:

(1)   The history of the Tribe

(2)   The Tribe’s remarkable conservation practices, including the culturally significant bison herds; and

(3)   How to hunt Tribal lands and my hunting experience.

One day, I would like to have a film crew with us to show the world the modern Native American hunter.

My hope is that throughout these articles, you will gain a deeper appreciation for Tribal lands and also understand the complexity of land ownership that exists on reservations.
